Monika Pintal-Slimak pointed out the key recommendations from the point of view of the laboratory diagnosticians' self-government. These issues were the subject of a unanimously adopted position by the National Council of Laboratory Diagnosticians. The following issues, among others, were pointed out:
- Respect the principles of cooperation with social partners in the legislative process.
- Introducing into the legal system the concept of diagnostic advice as a medical service that directly increases the quality of the diagnostic and therapeutic process.
- Imposition of tasks on the National Chamber of Laboratory Diagnosticians (by the Law on Laboratory Medicine) that require very large financial outlays for IT systems.
- Giving quality and safety in healthcare a strategic importance in a multi-year perspective, implemented through the implementation of quality management systems in medical diagnostic laboratories.
- For patient safety, minimum staffing standards should be created for all health professions.
In the short term, the Council also recommends:

- Undertake legislative work on genetic testing and regulate the handling of biological material, accessibility to genome test results and patient consent for such tests
