The National Council of Laboratory Diagnosticians has taken a position on the draft regulation of the Minister of Health on the conditions of remuneration for the work of employees of medical entities operating in the form of a budgetary unit.

In a position paper submitted to Health Minister Izabela Leszczyna, KRDL points out that the amended regulation should introduce a regulation explicitly referring to the law on the manner of determining the lowest basic salary of certain employees employed in medical entities, with regard to determining the amount of this salary.
"The aforementioned law constitutes (...) the fundamental legal act that constitutes the basis for determining the lowest basic salary of employees in the medical profession and employees of core activities, other than employees in the medical profession, employed in medical entities," the letter reads.
In the Council's view, it would be reasonable to indicate directly in the wording of the amended regulation that the amounts of basic pay for employees in the medical profession and employees in the core business, are determined on the basis of separate regulations.
