New medical professions: there is a list of activities

The draft regulation establishes a detailed list of professional activities that medical professionals covered by the above-mentioned law are authorized to perform, taking into account the knowledge and skills acquired in the course of training to obtain qualifications in these professions. The individual scopes of professional activities have been developed based on the scopes of education provided for these professions.

The definition of professional activities for individual medical professions in the proposed regulation is important in the context of entrusting the scope of duties by employers to medical professionals, ensuring the health safety of patients, as well as from the point of view of the professional liability solutions provided for these professions in the law.

A detailed list of professional activities was prepared for:

1) dental assistant is set forth in Annex 1 to the Regulation;

2) electroradiologist is specified in Annex No. 2 to the Regulation;

3) dental hygienist is set forth in Annex No. 3 to the Regulation;

4) addiction therapy instructor is specified in Annex No. 4 to the Regulation;

5) medical caregiver is set forth in Annex 5 to the Regulation;

6) optometrist is set forth in Annex 6 to the Regulation;

7) orthoptist is specified in Annex No. 7 to the Regulation;

8) podiatrist is set forth in Annex 8 to the Regulation;

9) prevention is specified in Annex 9 to the Regulation;

10) hearing care professional is set forth in Annex No. 10 to the Regulation;

11) pharmacy technician is set forth in Annex No. 11 to the Regulation;

12) massage technician is set forth in Annex No. 12 to the Regulation;

13) orthopedic technician is set forth in Annex No. 13 to the Regulation;

14) medical sterilization technician is specified in Annex No. 14 to the Regulation;

15) occupational therapist is specified in Annex 15 to the Regulation.
