New wage rates in medical entities

The purpose of the ordinance is to adjust the monthly rates of basic remuneration set forth in Appendix 1 to the Regulation of the Minister of Health on the conditions of remuneration for work of employees of medical entities operating in the form of a budgetary unit to changes resulting from:

1) the Decree of the Council of Ministers of September 12, 2024 on the amount of the minimum wage and the amount of the minimum hourly rate in 2025 (Journal of Laws, item 1362) and the resulting increase in the minimum wage to PLN 4666 from January 1, 2025;

2) the increase in salaries resulting from the increase in the fund of personal salaries for employees of the state budget sphere in the Budget Law for 2025 of January 9, 2025 (Journal of Laws, item 63) the average annual rate of increase in salaries in the state budget sphere, excluding those in state management positions - at 105.0%;

3) increase in the lowest basic salaries as of July 1, 2025, resulting from the Act of June 8, 2017 on the manner of determining the lowest basic salaries of certain employees working in medical entities (Journal of Laws of 2022, item 2139), in connection with the announcement of the communiqué of the President of the Central Statistical Office of February 11, 2025 on the average salary in the national economy in 2024 (M.P. item 125), hereinafter referred to as "the communiqué of the President of the Central Statistical Office".

According to the draft regulation, the minimum basic salaries in grades I-XX will be from PLN 4666 to PLN 4860, while the maximum amounts will be from PLN 6860 to PLN 14550. The increase in the minimum amounts of monthly salaries will vary depending on the grade category:

• More than 11% in categories I and II
• More than 10% in categories III-V
• More than 9% in categories VI and VII
• More than 8% in categories VIII-X
• More than 7% in categories XI and XII
• More than 6% in categories XIII-XV
• About 5% in the XVI-XX categories

Equal increases in maximum rates

The increase in maximum base salary rates will be evenly distributed across all categories and will amount to more than 14%. As a result, employees in medical professions and non-medical core business employees will be able to receive salaries in accordance with the product of the relevant labor factor and the amount of the average gross monthly salary in the national economy for 2024.
