Doctors of the Healthcare Employers' Agreement appeal to wear masks in clinics. - First of all, they can save lives, and secondly, they can prevent paralysis in health care, which no patient would want to go through again. Let's remember: a sick doctor is... no doctor! A sick nurse is... no nurse! - emphasizes Bożena Janicka, president of PPOZ.

The obligation to wear masks has already been lifted in Poland, including in health care facilities. This was one of the longest-lasting restrictions in connection with the pandemic. The public welcomed this decision with relief. However, it is worth noting that in recent weeks the number of infections, including those caused by COVID-19, has been rising again. PPOZ doctors are calling for a return to masks in clinics.

- The coronavirus continues to mutate, with new variants showing greater infectivity and spreading faster than previous variants. Such as the latest Kraken (a variant of Omicron), which is now prevalent in Poland. It kills several people a day. Our clinics are bursting at the seams with patients with flu-like symptoms, so there is a high probability of getting infected in the doctor's queue, or at the doctor's office! Already, many of our colleagues - due to infections - are on leave. Let's be responsible for ourselves and others, and wear masks in clinics. Because it will come to a situation that there will be no one to treat us," warns Bożena Janicka.
