President of the Supreme Medical Council Lukasz Jankowski met with new Health Minister Izabela Leszczyna at the ministry's headquarters on Thursday. The conversation concerned the most pressing problems currently facing health care in Poland. The president of the NRL presented specific proposals for solutions, which are also demands of the medical self-government. A large part of the meeting was devoted to the necessity of introducing a no-fault system in Poland and regulating medical education by closing training schools despite the PKA's negative opinion.

- I treat this meeting as the beginning of our cooperation, but I am glad that our demands, including the introduction of a real no-fault or the training of future medics at universities suitable for this, have been heard, and on the first day of the new minister's office. This is a good sign. A signal that there is openness and interest in the health of Poles on the part of those in power," the NRL president said after the meeting.

An important thread discussed at the meeting was the restoration of the confidence of all medical workers in the Health Ministry. The talks are expected to continue. Izabela Leszczyna has been invited to Friday's (15.12.) meeting of the Supreme Medical Council.
