According to the provisions of the Law on Assistance to Citizens of Ukraine in Connection with the Armed Conflict on the Territory of Ukraine, as of February 24, 2022, for a period of 18 months, a citizen of Ukraine residing in the territory of the Republic of Poland and holding a diploma of unified studies in psychology or a diploma of first degree in psychology and second degree in psychology - completed with the professional title of specialist in psychology or master's degree in psychology - obtained in Ukraine, may provide psychological services to citizens of Ukraine residing in the territory of the Republic of Poland. It may also provide health care services in the field of psychiatric care and addiction treatment. Eligibility under this law expired on August 24, 2023.

The legislature provided for extending for another seven months the possibility for Ukrainian citizens to provide psychological services without the need for nostrification. The bill passed by the Sejm was rejected by the Senate. However, the Senate's resolution was not submitted to the Sejm for deliberation. This means that the right to provide psychological services has expired.

Deputy ROP Stanislaw Trociuk presented the problem to Pavel Szefernaker, the government's plenipotentiary for refugees from Ukraine, along with a request for a reference to the possibility of solving it.

"The Ministry of Health recognizes the legitimacy of extending 2 the provisions of Article 64a of the Law of March 12, 2022 on Assistance to Citizens of Ukraine in Connection with the Armed Conflict on the Territory of Ukraine 3 . Appropriate legislative solutions will be prepared in a possible amendment to the law in question," Pawel Szefernaker wrote in response.
