The Ministry of Health appoints a team to develop a standard for training paramedics

The team consists of:
1) Chairman - Edyta Gadomska, Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Personnel Development in the Ministry of Health;
2) Deputy chairman - dr Agnieszka Tuderek-Kuleta, director of the Department of Security at the Ministry of Health;
3) members:
a) a representative of the Department of Higher Education in the Ministry of Education and Science,
b) national consultant in the field of emergency medicine,
c) a representative of the Polish Society of Medical Rescuers,
d) a representative of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Medical Universities,
e) a representative of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland,
f) a representative of the Higher Medical Education Committee of the Students' Parliament of the Republic of Poland;
4) Secretary - Tobiasz Janus, chief specialist at the Department of Education in Medical Professions of the Department of Medical Personnel Development at the Ministry of Health.
The tasks of the Team include the preparation of a proposal for an amendment to the regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of July 26, 2019 on the standards of education for the profession of a doctor, dentist, pharmacist, nurse, midwife, laboratory diagnostician, physiotherapist and paramedic ( Journal of Laws of 2021, item 755 and of 2022, items 157 and 1742) with regard to the standard of education preparing to perform the profession of a paramedic, in particular:
1) review and presentation of proposed changes to the set of learning outcomes in terms of knowledge and skills in terms of adjusting them to the current needs of the labor market;
2) presenting the proposed learning outcomes in terms of knowledge and skills at second cycle studies;
3) determining the professional competences of graduates of first and second cycle studies;
4) developing proposals for changes in individual groups of classes focused on classes that develop practical skills, including practical classes and apprenticeships.
