The directors of the city's hospitals with gynecological departments in Warsaw have signed a joint statement on access to all medical services, including abortions, in cases that comply with current law. - In any of our hospitals, every woman can always count on help in a health or life-threatening situation, and on respect for your choices and rights," Deputy Warsaw Mayor Renata Kaznowska stressed during a press conference held in front of the Warsaw Institute for Women's Health.

- Insinuations that the patients of the hospital directors standing next to me may be hindered in their access to legitimate medical services are unfair and untrue," Renata Kaznowska informed.

As Beata Pawlus, deputy director of the Holy Family Specialized Hospital on Madalińskiego Street in Warsaw, stressed, the clinic has been running a prenatal testing program for several years and taking care of patients with difficult and endangered pregnancies.

- We do not refuse to help patients in life-threatening situations. In such a situation, we treat termination of pregnancy as part of treatment. We have not registered any complaints on such issues. Women can feel safe in our hospital," said Beata Pawlus.

In Poland, termination of pregnancy is allowed only in two cases: when the pregnancy is the result of rape and when the pregnancy threatens the woman's life.
