Elżbieta Markowska new president of the Polish Coalition of Oncology Patients

Elżbieta Markowska is President of the Board of Directors of the Częstochowa Amazons Association and Vice President of the Federation of Amazons Associations. She is an active creator of events directed to oncology patients. The ventures she initiates, both at the national and local level, meet with great approval from the circles associated with the patient movement.

Her ability to manage the work of a non-governmental organization in cooperation with the public administration, government and local authorities, as well as her experience in dealing with the wider media, guarantee that the Foundation's Board has a very valuable member in its ranks.

In entrusting Elzbieta Markowska with the position of president of the PKPO Foundation's Board of Directors, it was emphasized that the skills she possesses will contribute to the further development of the Coalition, increasing the activity and representativeness of the oncology patient community. In the coming period of the expected systemic introduction of new solutions in health care, the Coalition, together with the new president, wants to take care of the interests of the environment in an even greater, more substantive way, providing patients with the most effective therapeutic options, ensuring the best possible quality of life.

"It is necessary and urgent to have a dialogue with the government side on systemic changes in the care of patients with oncological burdens," stresses Elzbieta Markowska.

Elzbieta Markowska has been recognized for her achievements on numerous occasions. Among the most important of these is the Bronze Cross of Merit awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland for her merits
in health care activities.
