- The Dexcom ONE+ is available today in Poland, Belgium and Spain, with launches in more countries to be announced in the coming months.
- The new precise [1], easy-to-use [†,2] CGM1 system will enable even more diabetics to effectively monitor their blood glucose in real time.
- Dexcom ONE+ uses Dexcom's latest and most accurate sensor, developed with feedback from users and diabetologists.
- Diabetics requiring intensive insulin therapy can now more easily manage their disease and monitor their blood glucose levels without the need for painful finger pricks [*] or scans.
- Dexcom ONE+ is an expression of Dexcom's concern for the comfort and quality of life of people with diabetes. I am pleased that Poland has been selected as the first country where Dexcom's latest continuous glucose monitoring solution will be available. This is a unique moment, we are introducing in Poland a cutting-edge tool that can make rtCGM technology truly accessible and widespread among people with diabetes in our country," explains Tomasz Borowy, CEO of Proglikemia, the official distributor of Dexcom in Poland. - Dexcom ONE+ is not only a step into the future, but above all an affordable solution that will allow a wider group of patients to access the quality of devices provided by Dexcom. The key features of this system respond to the real needs of people with diabetes requiring insulin therapy reported to the manufacturer. We believe that ONE+ will facilitate better outcomes and a longer life with diabetes with fewer complications," adds Tomasz Borowy.
The Dexcom ONE+ uses Dexcom's most modern and accurate sensor. In designing it, the manufacturer took into account suggestions gathered from doctors, as well as the experience and feedback of users using previous Dexcom CGM models. The result is the Dexcom ONE+, designed for all people with diabetes who require insulin treatment for diabetes, which provides high efficiency while being easy to use.
- The Dexcom ONE+ uses our best technology and offers a range of features tailored to users' preferences, so we believe it will be positively received by the diabetes community," explains Teri Lawver, executive vice president and chief commercial officer at Dexcom. - In developing Dexcom ONE+, we took into account feedback from users and medical professionals, so we offer a CGM system that is flexible, easy and intuitive to use, which can benefit people with type 1 or type 2 diabetes and their physicians and caregivers, Teri Lawver adds.
- In my conversations with Dexcom representatives, I stressed the importance of making the CGM easy to use for both people with diabetes and those who support them. The Dexcom ONE+ is an all-in-one device, making it very easy to apply and use. This makes the latest technology more accessible to all people with diabetes, emphasizes Dr. Liesbeth van Huffel, an endocrinologist at OLV Aalst Hospital in Belgium, where she is responsible for implementing high-tech diabetes solutions. - Another important feature is the ability to add notes at specific times, such as meals, insulin administration or physical activity. Compared to the standard finger prick method, the CGM sensor provides a much clearer picture of how daily choices affect blood glucose levels. Dexcom devices are known for their accuracy and reliability, and the addition of the notes option in Dexcom ONE+ makes the system even more helpful for those supporting a person with diabetes in proper diabetes management, adds Dr. Liesbeth van Huffel.
For people with diabetes and who rely on existing solutions based on finger pricks and regular insulin administration, living with the disease on a daily basis can be burdensome. Dexcom ONE+ was developed to alleviate this sense of diminished quality of life. The system is very simple to apply [**] and is designed to be easy to use on a daily basis, even for people who have no previous experience with CGM technology. Like all Dexcom CGMs, Dexcom ONE+ presents a clear picture of blood glucose levels in real time, without the need for painful finger pricks*, making it more comfortable to live with the disease, easier [‖] to manage and enabling better treatment outcomes [§,3,5,‡‡,6]. Importantly, the Dexcom ONE+ also allows the user to easily share blood glucose results with as many as ten people, offering loved ones and caregivers of patients a constant view of current measurements and a greater sense of security [††].
- Dexcom ONE+ is the next step in realizing Dexcom's mission to offer access to our breakthrough technology to millions of people in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, emphasizes Alex Moussa, vice president and general manager of Dexcom EMEA & LATAM. "Through continued innovation in our product development, we are not only offering the latest and most accurate version of our technology to even more people, but also demonstrating our commitment to significantly increasing access to CGM for people with different types of diabetes," adds Alex Moussa.
What sets Dexcom ONE+ apart from other CGM systems is its flexibility to meet user preferences. Dexcom CGM systems offer the most discretion, with three options for sensor application [‡,1,4]. They are also the only CGM systems to offer the "Delay First High Glucose Warning" option [1], a user-configurable feature that allows users to set a time before which the sensor will not alert on a "high" blood glucose result, thus avoiding alarm fatigue. In addition, the Dexcom ONE+ is designed to adapt perfectly to the user's lifestyle, having, for example, the highest degree of water resistance compared to other CGM brands [¶], allowing the device to be used seamlessly while swimming or exercising.
