Lack of telephone contact with a medical facility, inability to make a same-day appointment or refusal to sign up with a doctor. - These are the most common complaints we receive," informs Agnieszka Białas-Sitarska, spokesperson for the Świętokrzyskie Branch of the NFZ in Kielce.

- We are pleased to see that the number of complaints is decreasing from year to year. However, we still receive signals about irregularities in medical facilities," says Agnieszka Białas-Sitarska, and reminds us in what situations a patient has the right to complain to the NFZ.
It can do so if:
- He was denied enrollment in a doctor
- he was denied the benefit
- He was told to pay for a service that should have been performed under insurance (free of charge for the patient)
- Has difficulty signing up with a doctor, for example, enrollment is only possible in person or on designated days
- The doctor does not see patients during the hours he should
- He received a prescription without the reimbursement to which he is entitled.
Complaints against a facility that has a contract with the NFZ can be filed with the NFZ provincial branch or the NFZ headquarters in Warsaw.
How to file a complaint?
- in writing
- via Electronic Submission Box within the Electronic Platform for Public Administration Services (ePUAP)
- via email
- Orally (at the facility in question, for the record).
What should the complaint contain?
- data of the complainant (name, surname, address)
- data of the provider to whom the complaint relates
- precise description of the event
- if the complaint is filed on behalf of a third party - written authorization.
