Doctors of the Healthcare Employers' Agreement appeal to parents not to leave their children in cars even for a while, and if the stroller is dark in color, to cover the booth with a light, light cover!

Another heat wave is ahead of us. In some regions of the country, synopticians predict even... 37 degrees C! - Such heat is a serious challenge for each of us, without exception! Therefore, we must not forget the basic safety rules. First - water (at least 2 liters a day, preferably mineral water), second - avoiding direct "exposure" to the sun (prolonged exposure can end in stroke, burns, or other serious consequences caused by overheating of the body), third - appropriate clothing (light, airy), fourth - limit physical exertion! - reminds Bożena Janicka, president of the Healthcare Employers' Agreement.
In hot weather, additional responsibility falls on parents and caregivers, especially young children! As it turns out - even toddlers in strollers - if the stroller does not adequately protect them from high temperatures - can not feel safe! Why?
... - The color of the stroller is very important! As you know - dark generates heat. The temperature inside is higher by up to 7 degrees, which in 30-degree heat risks rapid overheating and dehydration. A black stroller is a dangerous thermos for a tiny, defenseless body! It can faint at any moment, and the mother - convinced that her little one is asleep and will not react in time - tragedy can occur. That's why I appeal to make friends with light colors in summer: white, beige, pastel grays, pinks that reflect the sun. If we have a black stroller, let's cover the booth with a light-colored cover (not the inlet to the stroller!). Let's not expose it to the full heat! - Bozena Janicka appeals.
PPOZ doctors also warn against leaving children (including pets) in heated cars. - When the poles of the mercury indicate 30 degrees Celsius, in a heated car the temperature rises to 60 deg C in no time! Heat stroke can occur when a child's body temperature exceeds 39 deg C. A closed car is an oven! That's why we do not leave a child in it even for a minute! Here one more appeal! If we ever notice such a disturbing sight, let's not pass by indifferently! Let's react! Let's call the services and try to free the child at all costs! - Bozena Janicka appeals.
Finally, some more important notes!
- - for a walk with toddlers should go out until 11 am or after 3 pm,
- - Children playing in the playground should be given something to drink by their parents every half hour.
