A group of 1.2 patients under the age of 18 with primary and secondary immunodeficiencies, including those after infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, will be included in the pilot program of remote health monitoring. Primary health care and outpatient specialist care facilities can now apply for the program.

"The program is aimed at patients under the care of a primary care physician or outpatient specialist care within the outpatient clinic for tuberculosis and lung diseases, pediatric otolaryngology, children's allergology and immunology. The program will allow you to remotely monitor the health of patients, e.g. by auscultation of the lungs and heart, imaging of the ear, throat, skin and the whole body,” reads the website of the Ministry of Health.

Institutions that will take part in the program will receive support, e.g. for the purchase of innovative multifunctional devices that will allow remote detection of the first symptoms of colds, flu and other viral and bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, middle ear or skin. The money secured for the implementation of the pilot project is to enable the purchase of 600 such devices. The SmartDoktor program will be piloted for 6 months.
