Arlukowicz is also mentioned among the candidates to become health minister - even his election as chairman of the committee does not determine that he will not ultimately become minister, as the KO club is vocal about the fact that replacement as chairman (not just of this particular committee, by the way) is no problem at all.
The presidium will be filled by Elżbieta Gelert (KO), Marcelina Zawisza (Left) and Rajmund Miller (KO). The other two seats (the Health Committee is a "large" committee, so the presidium is expanded) have not yet been filled. The Law and Justice Party and the Third Way have not submitted their candidates.
In the last term, especially towards the end, Law and Justice, although it had a majority in the KZ, sometimes lost votes - including those very important for the government (just to recall the bill on quality in health care and patient safety). In the current Sejm, the Democratic Party bloc has a large majority (KO - 13, TD - 6, Left - 2) against 13 Law and Justice deputies (two deputies have the Confederation). The condition - the deputies will vote as a bloc - it can be assumed that this will not be the case in all votes held in the Health Committee (draft abortion regulations).
But it is not with these projects (submitted by the Left club) that the NC will begin its work: on Wednesday, the first reading of a civic bill introducing state funding for the IVF procedure will take place in the Sejm, and among the civic bills "unfrozen" by the Speaker of the Sejm is a civic bill on health care salaries.
