GIS warns: salmonella has been detected in minced meat

The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate has issued a warning, regarding the detection of salmonella bacteria of a batch of beef minced meat. Consumption of the product carries a risk of food poisoning.

The product in question is "Ground beef, chilled Butcher 400 g," sold in one of the supermarket chains.

The manufacturer, upon learning of the detection of Salmonella in the product, in cooperation with the distributor, initiated a recall procedure and immediately took all measures to eliminate the potential risk of microbiological contamination.

The District Veterinarian in Jarocin, supervising the manufacturer, immediately after receiving information from the State Sanitary Inspection, took action to determine the distribution of the questioned batch of minced meat and to determine the reasons for the discrepancy.

Official food control authorities oversee the process of recalling the disputed batch from the market.

Do not consume the product from the batch covered by the announcement. If you experience symptoms of food poisoning after consuming the above product, contact your doctor.
