What blood fees in 2025?

The draft regulation determines the amount of fees for blood and its components in 2025. The fees contained in the draft regulation are increased (compared to their amount for 2024) by the average annual index of increase in the prices of total consumer goods and services in 2023, announced in the communiqué of the President of the Central Statistical Office of January 15, 2024 on the average annual index of prices of total consumer goods and services in 2023 (M.P. item 22). The index, according to the cited communiqué, was 111.4 (a price increase of 11.4%).
It is not possible to take alternative measures to the regulation to achieve the intended purpose.
The draft provides for the following fees for blood and its components:
1) PLN 322.00 - per unit of preserved whole blood;
2) PLN 217.00 - per unit of whole blood red cell concentrate;
3) PLN 307.00 - per unit of apheresis red blood cell concentrate;
4) PLN 654.00 - for a therapeutic dose of platelet-poor platelet cell concentrate from whole blood;
5) PLN 1,171.00 - for a therapeutic dose of platelet-poor platelet cell concentrate from apheresis;
6) PLN 1,469.00 - per unit of granulocyte concentrate;
7) PLN 117.00 - per unit of fresh frozen plasma;
8) PLN 228.00 - per unit of cryoprecipitate.
The regulation enters into force on January 1, 2025
