Stocks of blood and blood components are dwindling, the National Blood Center is warning. The situation is worst in the provinces of Swietokrzyskie and Zachodniopomorskie. There, all groups are in short supply. Meanwhile, stocks of group 0 Rh- blood are running out throughout Poland.
Due to the increasing demand for blood in hospitals, and at the same time with the decreasing number of blood donors, the Regional Blood Donation and Hematology Centers are asking people to apply for blood services.
