As of 9.01 this year, Prof. Lukasz Szumowski ceased to serve as Director of the National Institute of Cardiology. Until the appointment of his successor, the management of the Institute - within the scope of its competence - is carried out by Deputy Directors.
NIKard Communications Office
Prof. Lukasz Szumowski assumed the post of NIKard director in January 2022. He had been associated with the Institute for more than 20 years. From 2016 to 2018, he was Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and Minister of Health from 2018 to 2020.
