Johnson appeared on television to apologize for Pincher's nomination minutes before the two cabinet ministers announced their resignations.
Javid said that after a series of such reports, he had lost faith in the prime minister's ability to govern in accordance with the country's interests and could no longer continue his work with a clear conscience. He added that it was clear to him that the current situation would not change if Johnson continued to lead the government. In turn, Sunak addressed the Prime Minister directly: "I have served you loyally and as a friend, but first we all serve the country."
