The Gazette of the Ministry of Health published a Notice of the Minister of Health dated May 8, 2025 on the list of recommended immunizations for which the purchase of vaccines has been covered by funding from the Minister of Health.
The Ministry of Health has announced a list of recommended immunizations that will be publicly funded. The list includes vaccinations against HPV, COVID-19 and pertussis.
- Vaccination against human papillomavirus (HPV).
- Target group: individuals from age 9 to age 14. Vaccination must be started before the age of 14, while completion can take place thereafter, with a two-dose schedule 6-12 months apart.
- Coverage date: from May 15, 2025.
- Funding source: funds at the disposal of the Minister of Health.
- Vaccination against COVID-19
- Target group: persons over the age of 6 months. Vaccination is carried out in a multi-dose regimen in accordance with announcements from the Ministry of Health.
- Deadline for coverage: from October 25, 2024.
- Funding source: funds at the disposal of the Minister of Health.
- Vaccination against pertussis
- Target group: pregnant women after the completion of the 27th to 36th week of pregnancy. In cases of risk of preterm labor, the vaccination can be performed after the completion of the 20th week of pregnancy. The vaccination schedule includes one dose.
- Deadline for coverage: from October 15, 2024.
- Funding source: funds at the disposal of the Minister of Health and the National Health Fund.
