Published Dec. 30, 2024 06:21
The Polish team of experts has taken into account the latest changes introduced by the NCCN, and has adapted the guidelines to the realities of the Polish health care system.
The updates that have been made primarily include:
- Include new benefits and reimbursed drugs
- Reference to current scientific data
- Alignment of guidelines with national clinical standards
The update is the result of months of work by a team of experts who, in close cooperation with NCCN representatives, ensured that the document reflects both international standards and the specifics of national health system conditions.
The importance of diagnostic and therapeutic guidelines
Diagnostic and therapeutic management guidelines are an indispensable tool in daily clinical practice, enabling doctors to make optimal therapeutic decisions in accordance with the latest medical knowledge. Publication and updating of such documents is one of the key tasks of the National Monitoring Center, the function of which, in accordance with the Law on the National Cancer Network, is performed by NIO-PIB. To date, as part of the agreement between NIO-PIB and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, guidelines in 6 oncological areas have been developed and published, and work on their updating and adaptation to Polish conditions is carried out systematically.
Where can I find the updated guidelines?
