Poland will provide Ukraine with one million COVID-19 vaccines and 100,000 doses of MMR - said the Ministry of Health on Monday. Children whose fathers were passive smokers in childhood are more likely to develop asthma, according to a long-term study conducted by scientists at the University of Melbourne. The risk is even greater in children who are active smokers. The risk of non-allergic asthma in children increases by 59% if their fathers were exposed to secondhand smoke in childhood, compared to children whose fathers had no exposure to it. The risk rose to 72% if the father was also a smoker. Epigenetic changes may underlie the damage that causes asthma in the next generation.
