Doctors call for the establishment of a coroner's institution. Doctors have long been aware of problems with ascertaining death. Recently, the media reported two shocking cases. In Bydgoszcz, where a dead man, probably a homeless person, lay for several hours at the playground in Bydgoszcz Park im. Kochanowski; and in Katowice, where a dead man lay at the station for over 7 hours. In both cases, the police could not find a doctor who would officially confirm the death. - We have been talking about this problem for at least 10 years. The regulations in force today are outdated and do not correspond to reality - emphasizes Grażyna Cebula-Kubat, chairwoman of the National Board of the Polish National Trade Union of Physicians.
