Providing health services in primary care clinics, issuing e-prescriptions, free testing for SARS_CoV-2, vaccination against COVID-19 under the National COVID-19 Immunization Program! Refugees from war-torn Ukraine can count on all of this! - In the face of the tragedy in Ukraine, we not only show solidarity with the Ukrainian people and involve them in all local help, but most of all we provide medical assistance to refugees in need in our offices - declares Bożena Janicka, president of the Alliance of Healthcare Employers.
At the moment, special legal solutions are being prepared, but even today primary health care doctors are ready to provide services to Ukrainian citizens in need who crossed the border of the Republic of Poland while fleeing the war.
The findings of the Ministry of Health so far show that refugees will receive medical assistance on the basis of passport data and/or other travel document or a certificate issued by the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland. Each case will be separately recorded. Moreover - according to the guidelines of the National Health Fund - Ukrainian citizens will have an additional title "entitling to health services" in Poland.
Doctors may issue prescriptions to Ukrainian citizens who do not have a PESEL number, but in such cases the e-prescription should be printed (the pharmacist can then read the bar code from the prescription), and the e-prescription should contain the code of additional entitlements o BW symbol.
Note! The pharmacist cannot read the e-prescription only on the basis of the PIN code provided.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Health, persons crossing the border of the Republic of Poland can benefit from free testing for SARS-CoV-2 infection, while foreigners of Ukrainian nationality have the opportunity to get vaccinated under the National COVID-19 Immunization Program.
We are prepared for this hard time and difficult interviews that will be realistic with the patient's medical interview card (in Ukrainian-Polish). You can download the card HERE .
... In the face of this tragedy in Ukraine, the drama of millions of people - we validate, support and help as best we can - offering medical help ... - doctors emphasize.
