Katarzyna Kacperczyk officially deputy minister of health

Prime Minister Donald Tusk has signed the appointment of Katarzyna Kacperczyk as Deputy Health Minister. Previously, she was undersecretary of state at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2013-2016.

Unofficial information indicates that Katarzyna Kacperczyk is to be in charge of investments and the National Reconstruction Plan, among other things. Such assignment of responsibilities has not yet been confirmed by Health Ministry spokesman Damian Kuraś.

Katarzyna Kacperczyk graduated from the Institute of International Relations at Warsaw University. She was also educated at the University of the Saarland, Columbia University and the Warsaw School of Economics. She worked at the Department of Foreign Policy Strategy and Planning, and later at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the United Nations New York and the Department of Foreign Economic Policy. In 2010, she became deputy director of the Economic Policy Department and later director of the Economic Cooperation Department. From 2013 to 2016, she was Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2011, she was awarded the Golden Cross of Merit for outstanding contributions to foreign service.
