- Minister Izabela Leszczyna has decided that the availability of therapy for people on the autism spectrum will remain at 2023 levels, Damian Kuraś, a spokesman for the Health Ministry, announced Thursday. This is in response to concerns stemming from an order by the president of the National Health Fund.

- Thus, the order of the President of the National Health Fund, which threatened that patients would be stuck in queues to see specialists, will not come into effect. We know very well that in therapies, especially for the autism spectrum, time is very important," said Damian Kuraś.

According to the spokesman, the Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Tarification is to redetermine the valuation of these therapies. Wednesday saw a meeting between Health Minister Izabela Leszczyna and NFZ President Filip Nowak and Children's Ombudsman Monika Horna-Cieślak.

- Everyone agreed that this was the best solution for people on the autism spectrum. The National Health Service immediately began to act. Communication with medical facilities caring for patients was launched. All of them will receive information that the order will not go into effect," the spokesman added.
