Two new centers in pilot of coordinated care for neurofibromatosis patients

Data obtained from the National Health Fund's information system show that in the first six months of 2023, people with the diagnosis Q85.0 Non-malignant neurofibromatosis (von Recklinghausen's disease) according to the ICD-10 classification, or units and syndromes defined by the diagnosis, treated in outpatient specialized care were most numerous in the Mazowieckie (311), Kujawsko-Pomorskie (207), Malopolskie (129) provinces, among others.
In view of the above, it is proposed that two new centers join the pilot program for coordinated medical care for patients with neurofibromatoses and related rasopathies, which will shorten the diagnostic pathway and increase access to testing for health care recipients in Malopolska and Warmian-Masurian provinces.
The solution is to increase the number of coordinating centers with two new centers - the University Children's Hospital in Krakow and the Prof. Dr. Stanislaw Popowski Regional Specialized Children's Hospital in Olsztyn.
The draft regulation of the Minister of Health amending the regulation on the pilot program on coordinated medical care for patients with neurofibromatoses and related rasopathies amends Annex No. 3 by adding two more centers implementing the pilot program: the University Children's Hospital in Krakow and the Prof. Dr. Stanislaw Popowski Regional Specialized Children's Hospital in Olsztyn.
