The professor was entrusted with organizing in Lublin in 2026. 52nd Congress of the Polish Society of Otorhinolaryngologists Head and Neck Surgeons.
As the new president-elect stressed, this is an honor, but also a major organizational challenge. He added that his primary task as president-elect of the Polish Association of Otorhinolaryngologists Head and Neck Surgeons will be to organize an important, large - with more than 1,000 participants - Congress, which will be held in two years in Lublin. At the Congress that we will organize in Lublin, I intend to particularly emphasize the excellent achievements of our Clinic, both scientific and clinical. It is extremely important to emphasize the progress in the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck cancer. Patients who used to be referred for palliative treatment now largely have a chance of survival and this is mainly due to surgeries using microvascular dissection flaps. Such operations have been performed regularly for more than a dozen years at our Clinic," says Prof. Janusz Klatka, MD.
As president-elect, I will participate in the work of the Board of Directors of the Polish Society of Otorhinolaryngologists Head and Neck Surgeons, which relates to solving the problems of our Society in the field of postgraduate training or publishing activities of our journals, such as Otorynolaryngologia Polska and Laryngological Review. In this regard, by the way, I have been cooperating with the National Consultant in Otolaryngology for many years - says Prof. Janusz Klatka, MD.
