The conditions of hospitalization of patients of the district hospital in Starachowice (Świętokrzyskie) will improve. The clinic has started the renovation of the General Surgical Department. The department is to be enriched with a new intensive surveillance room with five beds. A waiting room for patients will also be built. The value of the investment is over PLN 2.1 million. It will be almost entirely covered by the COVID-19 Counteracting Fund. Due to the renovation, the General Surgical Department was temporarily moved to another floor of the clinic building. Works are expected to be completed in mid-January.
