Prof. Joanna Jędrzejczak sums up the year 2022 in epileptology

– Epilepsy has been a challenge for centuries. It is difficult to isolate any year in which we have exceptional activities. It is very important that this year we start talking more and more about epilepsy. This is a starting point for discussions about diagnostic possibilities and the protocol of standards of conduct as well as about treatment, not only pharmacological. There is a need to increase the number of surgical procedures and to create places where patients can be diagnosed - said prof. Joanna Jędrzejczak from the Department of Neurology and Epileptology of the Postgraduate Medical Education Centre, summarizing the ending year.
