More than PLN 1.8 billion will be allocated in 2023 to standardize the employment of psychologists, educators, speech therapists, pedagogical therapists and special educators in mainstream schools, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced during a press conference at the School and Kindergarten Complex No. 1 in Oława. This is more than three times more than in 2022 (PLN 520 million - editorial note). The educational subsidy will amount to PLN 64.4 billion. Psychotherapists are concerned about the changes planned by the Ministry of Health in their profession. It is about a draft regulation, according to which a separate specialization in this field would be introduced. – The specialization exam is to be a guarantee of quality in the profession. Certificates that have been issued so far by training companies will be recognized, said Health Minister Adam Niedzielski in an interview with RMF radio, referring to the concerns raised by the environment. In the opinion of Adam Niedzielski, the reaction of the environment to the draft regulation is typically corporate, because all the societies objecting were involved in issuing certificates.
A draft regulation on the confirmation of knowledge of the Polish language, necessary to practice the profession of a laboratory diagnostician in the territory of the Republic of Poland, was submitted for consultation. The minister competent for health matters is authorized to issue a regulation specifying the scope of knowledge of the Polish language in speech and writing, necessary to perform the profession of a laboratory diagnostician in the territory of the Republic of Poland. Requirement to eliminate the risk associated with the performance of this profession by people who do not have the appropriate qualifications, and whose actions could expose citizens to loss of life or health.
