Health minister appointed national consultant for infectious diseases

The meeting discussed prevention and treatment of infectious diseases (SARS-CoV-2, influenza, RSV) as well as other problems with a special focus on HIV/AIDS. Also discussed were plans to establish and the importance of an advisory team for monitoring biological threats.
Prof. Milosz Parczewski pointed out the importance of working with other national consultants to develop joint plans to create and conduct diagnostics and therapy in infectious diseases.
- A very important task will be to prepare Poland and the Polish health care system for new challenges in infectious diseases and epidemiology, the professor stressed.
