The Psychiatry Center for children and adults was opened at the University Teaching Hospital in Białystok. - After more than a decade of the white spot in Podlasie, today we are filling the void in child psychiatry. Children from Podlasie will no longer have to be treated in neighboring voivodeships - said Minister of Health Adam Niedzielski during the opening. The construction of the Center took three years. The cost is PLN 40 million. The investment was crucial for the provision of psychiatric care in the Podlaskie Voivodeship. So far, no day care center has operated there. A prostate biopsy as well as computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging may be performed on an outpatient basis under intravenous anesthesia. The Ministry of Health wants such changes. Until now, this form of anesthesia could only be used during hospitalization. The Ministry of Health has prepared a draft regulation, according to which the scope of services provided in the outpatient specialist care would be extended to include the possibility of intravenous anesthesia in both indicated tests.

"According to the minister's public declaration, the T-shirt in which he was vaccinated with the 2nd booster dose against COVID-19 will be auctioned for a good cause," the Ministry of Health reads on Twitter. On Saturday, the spokesman of the Ministry, Wojciech Andrusiewicz, handed over the T-shirt of the Good Samaritan Hospice in Lublin.
