As part of the "AI4Youth" course, students of the Mechanical Technical School No. 1 named after Franciszek Siemiradzki in Bydgoszcz, created a program based on artificial intelligence. Based on pictures of a birthmark, it can indicate whether it is dangerous to our health.

On the cancel-the-cancer, we can easily and quickly, check our birthmark, just by taking a picture of it. As the young creators point out, thanks to early detection of dangerous nevi, we have a much better chance of being cured. Detection alone does not settle the matter, while it is a very good prelude to consultation with a dermatologist or oncologist.

The project is designed for anyone who wants to check their birthmark and identify whether it may pose a health risk. It can be especially useful for people who are concerned that their skin lesion may be a sign of cancer, or who want to raise awareness of their skin health. The project is aimed at people of all ages and genders, and aims to speed up the diagnosis of skin diseases such as melanoma by using artificial intelligence to analyze photos of skin nevi. At the same time, the project aims to raise awareness about the need for regular check-ups with a dermatologist to increase the effectiveness of treatment by detecting potentially dangerous skin lesions more quickly.

The finalists of the "AI4Youth" program are still working on improving their project. On the collection, you can support its development by contributing to promotional activities or website maintenance costs.
