Although PLN 415 million was allocated for investment in health infrastructure in the Podlaskie Voivodeship, and the subsidy amounted to PLN 279 million, the availability of medical services has not improved. On the contrary, queues to doctors have lengthened, and the number of those waiting has increased. Why did this happen?
The Supreme Audit Office has examined the effectiveness of projects financed by the Regional Operational Program of the Podlaskie Voivodeship in 2014-2023. Despite the goal of increasing the availability of medical services, investments have had the opposite effect - waiting times for services have increased, and the number of waiting patients has increased.
