The military health service serves the military. It is prepared to meet all kinds of challenges, to provide assistance, to care for the soldier of the Polish Army and his family, but it is also open to civilian patients who need help today. The military will support, the military will help, the military health service is open to all who need help," stressed Deputy Prime Minister W. Kosiniak-Kamysz.
The resources of the military health service, which celebrates its holiday on April 4, include 8 Medical Security Districts, with 22 hospitals: including 4 teaching hospitals, 11 military hospitals, 3 institutes and 4 military spa and rehabilitation hospitals, as well as 29 military specialty clinics, 5 military preventive medicine centers - 8 blood donation and bloodletting stations, and 15 military medical commissions.
- We are preparing in the Ministry of Defense, together with Deputy Minister Cezary Tomczyk, several solutions for the development of military health services. First, preventive programs for soldiers of the Polish Army in three areas: metabolic diseases, skin diseases and Lyme disease. In these three areas, we want to prepare preventive programs in accordance with the law. This is aimed at inhibiting the development of these diseases in specific disease units. Another solution is to create a medical army component. We are preparing for this. This is one of the flagship projects. A component of medical troops for rapid response, full readiness of field hospitals and coordination between all military health units. The third issue is the training of doctors. We will invest not only in medical infrastructure, but also in human capital. The medical army component should be our flagship component," the deputy prime minister said.
