- The policy towards the oldest generation is not only the 13th and 14th pensions. It's also measures to activate seniors," Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said during a conference related to the payment of 13th pensions. The head of the Council of Ministers recalled that outlays on health care have increased over the past eight years from about 75 billion zlotys to about 160 billion zlotys, and seniors have also benefited from this increase.

- We believe that our seniors are the greatest value. They are the generation worth living for all the time and trying to make their lives as dignified as possible. That's why we needed a big change in health care, which we introduced and are introducing all the time. From the 75 billion zloty we spent on it in 2015, outlays have increased to about 160 billion this year. This amount is salaries for nurses, doctors and medical and non-medical services working in health care. It's also the program of free medicines for people aged 75 plus, to which we are adding more medicines all the time to relieve the budgets of seniors," Mateusz Morawiecki pointed out.

The prime minister added that the thirteenth pension will be paid for the fifth time, and declared that senior citizen policy will remain the most important part of the current government's philosophy.
